The Logos Catechism Contest
The Logos Catechism Contest is designed to give the Holy Spirit Prep’s Upper School students the opportunity to display their knowledge of the tenets of the Catholic Church. After an intensive qualifying quiz, the seven top-scoring students are invited to take part in a competition consisting in a double-elimination series of questions covering topics taken directly from the Catechism. A panel of judges and emcee Mr. Michael Verlander mediate and pose the questions to the contestants before the Holy Spirit Prep community. The champion of 2007, Christopher Oppermann, has his name engraved on a plaque placed on the contest trophy, a crystal and gold-plate-handled bowl.
