Mr. Gareth N. Genner - President
Mr. Genner was born and grew up in the United Kingdom where he studied law at The University of Wales and at the College of Law London. Since moving to the United States in 1994, Mr. Genner has completed both the Management Institute and the Certified Course in Accounting & Finance at Georgia Institute of Technology, Certified Mediator training at Oglethorpe University and Strategic Brand Marketing at Emory University. Mr. Genner is currently pursuing a PhD in Canon Law in a joint venture between the University of Wales and the Franciscan International Studies Center. From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Genner was the Managing Director of Independent School Counsel (ISC), a leading educational management and consulting firm operating throughout the southeastern United States. Mr. Genner has spoken on educational management issues at seminars and conferences sponsored by SAIS, GISA, PAIS, NAES, SAES and NCASE. Mr. Genner has served as educational advisor to the Archbishop and Archdiocese of Atlanta. Mr. Genner is a Knight of The Order of Malta, a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher, a Commander of the Order of Lazarus and a Knight of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. Mr. Genner is a Lieutenant attached to the Regional Staff of USNSCC, a Member of the Coastguard Auxiliary and was a member of the Leadership Sandy Springs Class of 2006. Mr. Genner is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International. Mr. Genner and his wife, Barbara have a son, Charles, who graduated from Holy Spirit Prep in the Class of 2007.

Dr. Darren Pascavage - Vice President Academic Affairs
Dr. Pascavage brings over a decade of independent school, university teaching and administrative experience to his role as Headmaster at Holy Spirit Preparatory School. A former School Director at Victory Charter School, Dr. Pascavage's most recent independent school experience came at The Walker School, where he served as Director of Measurement and Evaluation and taught mathematics and philosophy. Prior to this, Dr. Pascavage served in a variety of roles at other independent schools, including an appointment as Dean of Students at Gatewood School. He has also worked as a consultant with school heads, trustees, development and admissions directors, department chairs, and classroom teachers on a broad range of projects germane to independent schools. Dr. Pascavage was named a National Association of Independent Schools E.E. Ford Fellow, and was invited to serve as a member of the Georgia Department of Education Task Force on Well-Designed Assessments. Dr. Pascavage holds a B.S. in physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. He also earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University.

Ms. Jamie Arthur - Vice President Institutional Administration
Ms. Arthur attended Our Lady of Lourdes School and St. Joseph's Academy in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Georgia and a Master's degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. After attending Georgia State University, she received her certification in Educational Leadership and Administration in August 1998. Ms. Arthur is continuing her education as a doctoral candidate at Georgia State University. Ms. Arthur spent the month of July 1999 attending a conference at the International Centre for Education Sciences in Rome, Italy. This course offered studies in Catholic Doctrine, Anthropology and Moral Theology. Ms. Arthur taught for a total of twelve years at both the high school and middle school levels, nine of which were at Christ the King School in Atlanta. During her years at CKS, she was department chair for the Middle School, and was responsible for its development as well as coordinating all of its activities. In addition to her educational responsibilities, she served as the faculty representative for the annual fund, strategic planning, admissions and liaison to administration. Ms. Arthur joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in its founding year, 1996, and functioned as the school's Director of Development, Marketing and Admissions. During the 2000-2001 school year, Ms. Arthur was appointed as interim Head of the Lower School. As Assistant Head of School from 2001-2003, she continued to serve as the Director of Development and Admissions, as well as perform other duties in administrative areas. From 2003-2006, Mrs. Arthur served as Principal of the Lower School. Outside of Holy Spirit Preparatory School, Ms. Arthur serves as an accreditation chair for the Southern Association of Independent Schools. She has co-founded The SeeWee Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will provide funding for at-risk children and was inducted onto the Board of Trustees for Outward Bound in September, 2004. Ms. Arthur is a member of Holy Spirit Parish where she serves as Mass Coordinator and a Eucharistic Minister.

Mr. W. Scott Rawles - Vice President for Strategic Planning
Mr. Rawles brings 17 years of experience in administration and planning at the college and university level to Holy Spirit Preparatory School. A graduate of Mercer University in Atlanta, he has served in both private and public higher education much of his career. Prior to joining Holy Spirit in April of 2007, Mr. Rawles operated his own private marketing and higher education advancement consulting practice. He has previously served as a Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Marketing at Mississippi University for Women and Converse College in Spartanburg, SC, where he completed the planning and execution for a successful $82.5 million capital campaign. In addition to his role as a Vice President at HSP, Mr. Rawles also serves as the Director of Stewardship for Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mr. Rawles and his wife Genie have two children, AnnaKate a sophomore at Converse College and Andrew.

Ms. Dara Liberatore - Early Childhood Principal
Ms. Liberatore comes from New Jersey where she taught in Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Newark for six years. She is a graduate of St. Peter's College in Jersey City where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Economics. She then received a Master of Arts Degree in Education with concentrations in Teaching and Administration/Supervision. In New Jersey, Ms. Liberatore served on Our Lady of Mercy's Parish Advisory Board Committee. She participated for two years in the Archdiocese of Newark's "Future School Leaders Project," which identifies potential Catholic school principals and administrators. In 2001, she was the recipient of the "Teachers Recognition Award" by the Archdiocese of Newark. Ms. Liberatore was selected as an outstanding educator based on her teaching abilities, her dedication, and her commitment to Catholic education. She moved to Atlanta and joined Holy Spirit Prep in 2001. She enjoys being a part of Holy Spirit Preparatory School and considers the Holy Spirit community as her family. Ms. Liberatore is a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Dr. Linda Anthony- Lower School Principal
Dr. Anthony graduated from Ladycliff College, a Catholic women's college in Highland Falls, New York, with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in secondary education. Upon graduation from Ladycliff, Dr. Anthony worked for Eastern Airlines for 14 years as a flight attendant, training instructor, in-flight supervisor and employment specialist. She earned a Master's degree in Human Resource Development from Georgia State University and was awarded a research assistantship to attend the University of Miami, where she earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. Her dissertation on transformational and transactional leadership received recognition from the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina, and was incorporated into leadership training for school principals by the Florida Department of Education. While completing the doctoral program, Dr. Anthony worked as a consultant in the area of management development for school principals. After returning to Atlanta and earning her certification in Spanish and Educational Leadership, Dr. Anthony worked for the Cobb County school district as a Spanish teacher, middle-school administrator, and coordinator of the county's International Baccalaureate program. Dr. Anthony joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in 2004 as its Student Success Director. In 2005, she was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal and in 2006 was named Principal of the Lower School. Dr. Anthony is a Holy Spirit parishioner and serves as a Eucharistic Minister for the parish. Dr. Anthony and her husband, Hank, reside in Vinings and have two sons. Christopher is a second-year student at Columbia Law School and Harrison is a senior at Duke.

Mr. Archie Deen - Assistant Principal of the Lower School
Mr. Deen joined Holy Spirit Prep in 2005. He earned a BA in Geography and Sociology, a Master of Science in Geography at King's College London, University of London, and is a PHD Candidate at the University of London, Institute of Education, working on "Motivation through Inquiry Learning." Mr. Deen is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers. He also received the Best Practice Research Scholarship UK in 1999 and 2000 and he is a Qualified Teacher at the U.K.Secondary School Level. Mr. Deen brings 19 years of teaching, having taught in Europe and the United States in the secondary / high school level. In addition to teaching Social Sciences in the Upper School, Mr. Deen teaches Human Geography and Economics at Holy Spirit College. Mr. Deen has a son, Nigel, in the Holy Spirit Prep Class of 2008 and a daughter, Indira, in the Class of 2011.

Mrs. Brianne Smyth- Lower School Student Success Director
Mrs. Smyth grew up in Huntsville, Alabama where she attended Catholic School for grades K-8 and graduated high school from Westminster Christian Academy. Mrs. Smyth attended Vanderbilt University, where she double majored in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. In May 2002, Mrs. Smyth graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt. She then moved to Atlanta to begin her teaching career with Cobb County Schools. She taught 1st grade for two years at Norton Park Elementary. There she was the Model Classroom for K and 1st Georgia Choice Readers Workshop. Mrs. Smyth also served as the Norton Park representative for the Cobb County Math Leadership Academy, was a tutor for HOSTS (Helping One Student To Succeed), and a member of the Georgia Association of Educators and the National Association of Educators. In the fall of 2004, Mrs. Smyth joined Holy Spirit Prep and taught second grade for three years. Throughout her career, she has attended many professional development courses and has been trained in Readers and Writers Workshop, Guided Reading, Sitton Spelling, and Everyday Counts Calendar Math. This past summer she completed her Master's in Reading, Language, and Literacy at Georgia State University, and received her certification as a Reading Specialist. In 2007, she was appointed as the Director of Studies at the Lower School. Mrs. Smyth and her husband, Mitch, are members of Holy Spirit Church and reside in Midtown.

Mr. Bob Pelletier - Upper School Principal
Mr. Pelletier joined the Holy Spirit Preparatory School community in January 2003 and currently serves as Principal of the Upper School. Mr. Pelletier was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. In 1982, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, continuing on to receive his Juris Doctor from Loyola School of Law in 1985. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Pelletier was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army and served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Soon after leaving the JAG Corps, he was hired as an associate attorney with an Atlanta law firm and continued practicing in the area of tort litigation defense. In 1993 Mr. Pelletier started a sports marketing and management firm. He continued to practice law as a sports and entertainment attorney. Mr. Pelletier first entered the world of education as a teacher, then becoming a Dean and finally a Principal. Mr. Pelletier is LTjg in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps and currently serves as Commanding Officer of the First Justice Division, USNSCC Unit based out of Holy Spirit Prep. Mr. Pelletier is a Member of the National Association of Middle School Principals. Bob and his wife, Cathy, have lived in Atlanta since 1990 and are members of Christ the King Cathedral Parish. The Pelletier's have a daughter, Colleen in the Class of 2010 at Holy Spirit Prep.

Mr. Kyle Pietrantonio - Junior High Principal
A product of Catholic education, Mr. Pietrantonio grew up just outside of Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating from the local diocesan high school, he attended Georgetown University, in our nation's capital, where he earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude in classics, medieval studies, and theology. He earned honors for his senior thesis about an early medieval Latin manuscript. At Georgetown, Mr. Pietrantonio was a member of the lightweight crew and was heavily involved in community service programs and projects. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education, a two-year graduate school and service program. During this time, Mr. Pietrantonio chaired the history and social science department at a Catholic school in Mobile, Alabama and earned his master's degree summa cum laude in secondary education from the University of Notre Dame. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Mr. Pietrantonio continues to teach Latin at Holy Spirit Prep and is also a Ph.D. candidate studying educational leadership and policy at The Catholic University of America.

Dr. Paul Voss - Provost Holy Spirit College
Dr. Voss was born and raised in Minnesota. He graduated with honors from the University of St. Thomas in 1986 with degrees in philosophy and English literature. He began his teaching career in 1987 at University High School, a Catholic school located in San Diego. During this period, he earned his high school teaching credentials and took graduate education courses in administration, pedagogy, and curriculum. After teaching A.P. English and theology for three years, Dr. Voss enrolled at the University of California (Riverside) and earned a Ph.D. in English Literature in 1995. Georgia State University appointed him an Assistant Professor in 1995. He continues to serve as a faculty member at GSU, where he is now an Associate Professor and teaches courses on Shakespeare and sixteenth-century literature. He publishes and lectures widely on a variety of topics. His most recent book, Shakespeare, Spenser, Marlowe, and the Birth of Journalism, was published in 2001. He also publishes in Catholic journals (Crisis, Envoy, Our Sunday Visitor), has appeared on EWTN and radio programs around the country, and lectures throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Dr. Voss and his wife Mary, live in Mableton with their five children, four whom attend Holy Spirit Preparatory School: Joseph, Class of 2010, Luke, Class of 2012, Maria, Class of 2014, and John Paul, Class of 2020. The Voss's are parishioners at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Mrs. Cal Kanaly - Director of Guidance and College Counseling
Mrs. Cal Kanaly was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and moved to Atlanta in 1978. She attended Christ the King elementary school, and Marist and Woodward Academy high school. Mrs. Kanaly is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Georgia State University, where she received a B.A. Degree in Psychology and an M.S. Degree in Professional Counseling, respectively. She is a Licensed and a Nationally Certified Counselor, as well as a certified teacher for the STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) and FOCUS (From Organized Coaching Comes Ultimate Success) programs. Mrs. Kanaly has served as a counselor in a variety of employment settings, including a residential environment at Laurel Heights Hospital and clinical settings, such as Peachford Behavioral Health Systems. In these settings she directly counseled adolescents and their families on a one-on-one basis, as well as in-group sessions, to address grief and loss issues, learning, emotional and behavioral disorders. She also provided crisis counseling and psychological assessments to individuals and families facing severe situations. Mrs. Kanaly has also worked with the Georgia State University Counseling Center, where she counseled students on course selection and ways to improve academic success. Mrs. Kanaly's most recently published work is an article entitled What Dreams May Come: An Existential Journey with Hieronymous Bosch, which appears in the January 2003 edition of the journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy. Mrs. Kanaly joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in 2000 providing counseling to students ranging from Kindergarten age through high school age, as well as to the HSP families. In that capacity, she worked closely with the faculty regarding learning, emotional and behavioral concerns evident in the classroom. She implemented and coordinated the school's Standardized Testing Programs, the Student Support Team meetings with parents and teachers, the classroom guidance program, and the Ambassador and Buddy programs. In 2004, Mrs. Kanaly also joined the Holy Spirit Preparatory high school faculty and staff as the Guidance and College Counselor. In this role, Mrs. Kanaly continues to perform many of the same tasks that she historically has performed at Holy Spirit Prep, while complementing these responsibilities with supervision of the college counseling, admissions, and placement process. Mrs. Kanaly and her husband Mark have two children at Holy Spirit Prep, a son in the Class of 2021 and a daughter in the Class of 2022.

Mrs. Angela Krupczak- Upper School Student Success Director 
Mrs. Krupczak was born in Wisconsin and lived there until her family transferred to Marietta, Georgia in 1986. She returned to Milwaukee, WI to attend Marquette University where she received her B.A. with a double major in Psychology and the History of Philosophy. Mrs. Krupczak continued on at Marquette and received her M.A. in Community Counseling in August of 2001. While attending Marquette University, she was very active in the residence life program and various volunteer and service organizations. Mrs. Krupczak has a wide variety of experiences in the counseling field including working in a college counseling center, teaching parenting skills, and facilitating individual and group therapy with adolescents. Prior to joining Holy Spirit Prep, Mrs. Krupczak counseled high school students to assist them with a wide range of social and emotional challenges as well as motivation, time-management, and organization skills. Mrs. Krupczak is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and maintains membership with the American Counseling Association. Along with her current duties at the Upper School, Mrs. Krupczak will be assisting with guidance and student support at the Lower School. Mrs. Krupczak and her husband, Dave, are members of Holy Spirit Parish and currently reside in Smyrna.
