Give our children the credit!

If you pay state income tax,
you qualify to support GOAL!

Georgia’s state scholarship fund of $51.5 million is expected to reach its capacity by May 2012.

Be one of 20,500 state taxpayers to take control of your tax dollars. Redirect your state tax payment to GOAL’s Holy Spirit Prep Fund. Each payment directed to HSP ensures a steady cash flow for our school. This gives us more freedom to support all of our students. The monies are allotted by the state on a first come, first served basis. Don’t miss this opportunity! Redirect for 2012 TODAY!

GOAL & Holy Spirit Preparatory School

2010 & 2011 Contribution Results and Trends

As a point of reference, Holy Spirit Prep’s Contribution Revenue dropped in 2011 over 2010, due to the fact the cap was met in October 31, 2011. Over 40 HSPS/ GOAL Contributors were denied a tax credit.  WE MUST ACT EARLY IN 2012.

WHAT IS THE GOAL SCHOLARSHIP?

In 2008, the State of Georgia passed HB 1133, allowing Georgia taxpayers to receive a state income tax credit for amounts contributed to qualified student scholarship organizations, such as the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program. Under the new law, married couples can receive a tax credit of up to $2,500, individuals up to $1,000, and corporations up to 75% of their total Georgia tax liability. It is important to note that a tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in taxes you owe, so every dollar you give, up to the limit, is a dollar less in tax you have to pay. It is really like re-directing your tax dollars from the Georgia Department of Revenue to GOAL. In addition, contributions to GOAL are deductible for federal income tax purposes. So by participating you get the opportunity to help Holy Spirit families, tell Georgia where to spend your tax dollars, get a state tax credit and a federal tax deduction at the same time…and you do it all simply by re-directing tax dollars you already have to pay! Read what the Atlanta Journal Constitution writes about the success of Georgia’s Tax Credit Scholarship Program, bringing light to the fact that millions of dollars in taxpayer donations had to be returned in 2011, once the cap was met.. Georgia GOAL is distinguished as a key player in the SSO marketplace.
