We won the zoning case including the court upholding the additional permitted uses added on the motion to modify the minutes, before we can move ahead there are various matters to be negotiated with the vendors, outstanding due diligence items and we would have to obtain a significant level of financial commitments but this is a step forward and I will keep you informed! GREAT NEWS: The Sandy Springs City Council approved Holy Spirit Preparatory School’s application for a Special Use Permit on Tuesday night, August 19, 2008. Thanks to all of you for your work and prayers in support of the new campus.

Holy Spirit Preparatory School has obtained a land use permit for an 8 acre site in Sandy Springs which runs along the south side of I-285 between Long Island Drive and Lake Forrest Drive. The development will also provide Holy Spirit Catholic Church with access to recreational activities not currently available. The school will also work with the City to serve the broader community The permit provides a soccer/football field, with 400 bleacher seats and a field house with limited administrative offices and meeting space and a location for day retreats. There are long term plans to add a lap pool for swimming lessons and practice and two tennis courts. The site has 150 parking spaces hidden from Long Island Drive behind a gated landscaped entrance. Most of the parking area is grass over a grid and will look much like a lawn.
