Mr. Gareth N. Genner - President
Mr. Genner was born and grew up in the United Kingdom where he studied law at The University of Wales and at the College of Law London. Since moving to the United States in 1994, Mr. Genner has completed both the Management Institute and the Certified Course in Accounting & Finance at Georgia Institute of Technology, Certified Mediator training at Oglethorpe University and Strategic Brand Marketing at Emory University. Mr. Genner is currently completing a PhD in Canon Law in a joint venture between the University of Wales and the Franciscan International Studies Center. From 1995 to 2001, Mr. Genner was the Managing Director of Independent School Counsel (ISC), a leading educational management and consulting firm operating throughout the southeastern United States. Mr. Genner has spoken on educational management issues at seminars and conferences sponsored by SAIS, GISA, PAIS, NAES, SAES and NCASE. Mr. Genner has served as educational advisor to the Archbishop and Archdiocese of Atlanta. Mr. Genner is a Knight of The Order of Malta, a Knight of the Holy Sepulcher, a Commander of the Order of Lazarus and a Knight Commander of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. Mr. Genner is a Lieutenant attached to the Regional Staff of USNSCC, a Member of the Coastguard Auxiliary and was a member of the Leadership Sandy Springs Class of 2006. Mr. Genner has served as an Honorary Consul to the City of Atlanta and as a Counselor to a United Nations Mission.

 

Ms. Jamie Arthur - Vice President Institutional Administration; Mathematics Department Chair
Dr. Arthur, a product of Catholic education, attended Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Joseph's Academy in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in finance from the University of Georgia and a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in secondary math from the University of South Carolina. She attended Georgia State University during 1997-1998 to complete her certification in Educational Leadership and Administration. Dr. Arthur will be hooded in December, 2011 signifying her completion of her Doctorate in Philosophy from the Department of Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Dr. Arthur has attended the International Centre for Education Sciences in Rome, Italy offering studies in Catholic Doctrine, Anthropology, and Moral Theology. Jamie Arthur’s experience began with classroom teaching at both the middle and high school levels for twelve years, nine of which were at Christ the King School in Atlanta. Administrative experience includes Middle School Department Chair, faculty representative for the annual fund, strategic planning, admissions, and being a liaison to the principal. Dr. Arthur joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in its founding year, 1996, and functioned as the school's Director of Development, Marketing, and Admissions. From 2000-2006, Dr. Arthur served in various administrative capacities including Principal of the Lower School during the years 2003-2006. She currently serves as Vice President of Institutional Administration for HSPS and Dean of the Education Department for Holy Spirit College. In addition to her administrative role at Holy Spirit Preparatory School, Dr. Arthur serves as Head of The Solidarity School and as an accreditation chair for the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). She has been recognized by and is a member of both Phi Lambda Theta, an international honor society and professional association of educators, Golden Key, an honor society recognizing outstanding academic achievement, and Phi Delta Kappa, a professional organization for educators. Her experience and expertise in education translates to Jamie Arthur’s philanthropic work with at-risk children. Dr. Arthur co-founded the SeeWee Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides funding for at-risk children detained in the SC Department of Juvenile Justice. In relation to her foundation, Dr. Arthur was inducted onto the Board of Trustees for Outreach of Outward Bound in September, 2004. Dr. Arthur also serves on the Advisory Board for Moda Real, a non-profit organization working with young Hispanic women. Jamie Arthur graduated from Leadership Sandy Springs Class in 2010 where she was part of the project team that created Youth Leadership Sandy Springs and is currently Vice-Chair of the Advisory Board. Dr. Arthur is a member of Holy Spirit Parish where she has served as a Mass coordinator, Eucharistic minister, member of the choir, parish council, and is currently a Lady Commander in the Order of the Holy Sepulcher.

 

Ms. Dara Liberatore - Associate Vice-President
Dara Liberatore was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She attended Catholic schools throughout her entire academic career. She is a graduate of St. Peter's College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Economics. During college, Dara was an intern at Liz Claiborne and worked as an assistant buyer for its outlet division; after graduating she was promoted to be a buyer for the company. Within a few years, Dara found her true calling in the field of education. She returned to school to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Education with concentrations in Teaching and Administration/Supervision. While in school, Ms. Liberatore taught in Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Newark for six years. She participated for two years in the Archdiocese of Newark's "Future School Leaders Project," which identifies potential Catholic school principals and administrators. In 2001, she was the recipient of the "Teachers Recognition Award" by the Archdiocese of Newark. Ms. Liberatore was selected as an outstanding educator based on her teaching abilities, her dedication, and her commitment to Catholic education. She moved to Atlanta in the summer of 2001 to join the HSPS community. Ms. Liberatore served as our Early Childhood Principal for over 9 years, and now serves as our Associate Vice President. She truly feels blessed being a part of Holy Spirit Preparatory School and considers the Holy Spirit community her family. Miss Liberatore currently resides in Sandy Springs, and is a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Dara is an active participant in a few of Holy Spirit’s ministries, she is currently involved in with Senior Safety Net, Person to Person, and Wednesday Night Dinners. Dara is now a Mentor at St. Peter’s College to an undergraduate student who is studying to be a educator. In New Jersey, Miss Liberatore served on Our Lady of Mercy's Parish Advisory Board Committee.

Mrs. Mary Agrippina - Preschool Director
Mary Agrippina, a product of Catholic education, grew up in New York City. She attended Incarnation Elementary School, The Mary Louis Academy High School, and graduated from St John’s University with a BS in Accounting. She worked in the accounting field for 14 years at which point she left to become a stay-at-home mom and bookkeeper for her husband’s chiropractic practice. Mary volunteered in many community and church activities while raising her four children. She’s worked in various capacities at Holy Spirit Prep since 2006, including Parent Association President of the Preschool, a substitute teacher in the Upper School and assistant in the PreK -4 class and JrK. Mary is currently pursuing her teaching degree at Holy Spirit College. She and her husband of 26 years, Nat, and their 4 children are parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where Mary is active as a Eucharistic Adoration Guardian, a lector, and as a facilitator in the Christ Renews His Parish, CRHP program. Mary’s children have enjoyed Holy Spirit Prep since 2004 – Patrick, Class of 2007, and now attending Emory University; Michael, Class of 2011 now in his senior year, Andrew, Class of 2015, now in 8th grade, and Veronica, Class of 2021, now in 2nd grade. Mary truly feels blessed to be part of the Holy Spirit community.

Mr. Kyle Pietrantonio - Lower School Principal
A product of Catholic education, Mr. Pietrantonio grew up in central Connecticut. After graduating from the local diocesan high school, he attended Georgetown University, in our nation’s capital, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in classics, medieval studies, and theology. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education, a two-year graduate school and service program. During this time, Mr. Pietrantonio chaired the history and social science department at a Catholic school in Mobile, Alabama and earned his Master of Arts degree summa cum laude in secondary education from the University of Notre Dame. He began his tenure at Holy Spirit Prep’s Upper School campus where he taught history and Latin and served as junior high principal. In 2007, Mr. Pietrantonio was selected by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to receive the E. E. Ford Fellowship. As a Ford Fellow, he worked on special projects related to major issues facing independent schools today. Mr. Pietrantonio is now a Ph.D. candidate studying educational leadership and policy at The Catholic University of America. He has been at Holy Spirit Prep since 2005.

 

Mr. Brian Moscona - Lower School Assistant Principal
Mr. Moscona was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. He then studied marketing and public policy at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. After graduation, Mr. Moscona participated in a two-year teaching program through Notre Dame called the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE). In the ACE program he taught fourth grade in Los Angeles and earned a Master of Arts degree in elementary education. Mr. Moscona then spent a year discerning a vocation to the priesthood with the Congregation of Holy Cross at Notre Dame while also studying theology and philosophy. After leaving the seminary he moved to Atlanta to teach at Holy Spirit Prep. During his first year at HSP, Mr. Moscona taught first grade, but during the next three years he taught middle school religion. He served as a bridge between the two campuses, teaching at the Lower School in the morning and at the Upper School in the afternoons. Mr. Moscona has coached junior high football, basketball and golf. He has also coordinated retreats for students in grades 4-12. He is currently working toward a Master of Arts degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame. As Assistant Principal at the Lower School, Mr. Moscona focuses primarily on grades 5 and 6 in the intermediate building.

 

Dr. Linda Anthony- Lower School Associate Principal; Professor, Holy Spirit College
Dr. Anthony graduated from Ladycliff College, a Catholic women’s college in Highland Falls, New York, with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in secondary education. Following graduation from Ladycliff, Dr. Anthony worked for Eastern Airlines for 14 years. She earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Georgia State University, and was awarded a research assistantship to attend the University of Miami, where she earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. While completing the doctoral program, Dr. Anthony worked as a consultant in the area of management development for school principals. After returning to Atlanta, Dr. Anthony worked for the Cobb County school district as a Spanish teacher, middle-school administrator, and coordinator of the county’s International Baccalaureate program. Dr. Anthony joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in 2004 as its Student Success Director. In 2005, she was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal, and in 2006 was named Principal of the Lower School. Dr. Anthony is a Holy Spirit parishioner and serves as a Eucharistic Minister for the parish. Dr. Anthony and her husband, Hank, reside in Vinings and have two sons, Christopher and Harrison.

 

Mrs. Donna Hayley- Director of Student Success; Counselor
Mrs. Hayley was born and raised in the suburbs outside of Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University with a dual major in special education and elementary education. In Illinois, she taught students with special needs and in regular education grades K-6 for 17 years. She also taught parish school of religion classes for many years. Mrs. Hayley obtained two master’s degrees from Governors’ State University. She holds a master’s degree in School Counseling and another master’s degree in Education Administration. In addition, she continues to increase her skills by attending and presenting at many local and state education conferences and seminars. She has been a supervisor for special education programs for three years, an assistant principal for both an elementary and a middle school, and an elementary school principal for 12 years. She had the honor and excitement of opening two new elementary schools as the principal in 1996 and in 2000. After retiring from the public schools, Mrs. Hayley and her husband of 36 years, relocated to Atlanta. She has two married daughters and three beautiful granddaughters. Mrs. Hayley feels very blessed to be a part of the Holy Spirit family and is excited to continue to share her love for lifelong learning with children

 

Mr. Bob Pelletier - Upper School Principal
Mr. Pelletier joined the Holy Spirit Preparatory School community in January 2003 and currently serves as Principal of the Upper School. Mr. Pelletier was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. In 1982, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, continuing on to receive his Juris Doctor from Loyola School of Law in 1985. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Pelletier was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army and served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Soon after leaving the JAG Corps, he was hired as an associate attorney with an Atlanta law firm and continued practicing in the area of tort litigation defense. In 1993 Mr. Pelletier started a sports marketing and management firm. He continued to practice law as a sports and entertainment attorney. Mr. Pelletier first entered the world of education as a teacher, then becoming a Dean and finally a Principal. Mr. Pelletier is LTjg in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps and currently serves as Commanding Officer of the First Justice Division, USNSCC Unit based out of Holy Spirit Prep. Mr. Pelletier is a Member of the National Association of Middle School Principals. Bob and his wife, Cathy, have lived in Atlanta since 1990 and are members of Christ the King Cathedral Parish. The Pelletier's have a daughter, Colleen in the Class of 2010 at Holy Spirit Prep.

Mr. Tom Curtin - Assistant to the Upper School Principal; Religion; Classics; Liturgical Choir Director Director
Mr. Curtin has been with Holy Spirit Preparatory School since 2008. Raised in Wichita, KS, he moved to Atlanta with his wife, Kaitlyn, after completing his J.D. at the University of Notre Dame. He holds undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Music Theory, also from Notre Dame. Since joining the HSP community, Mr. Curtin has taught courses in U.S. History, Government, English Literature, Religion, Latin, and Choral Music. He directs and composes original sacred music for the Liturgical Choir and accompanies them on the piano for Upper School Mass. In the last few years, he has served the school as a faculty mentor in the Moda Real Apostolate, as a junior high football coach, as a team leader for HSP’s spiritual retreat program, and as Master of the House of Chalcedon. Mr. Curtin is also an adjunct member of the faculty at Holy Spirit College, where he has taught courses in Ecclesiastical Latin and Gregorian Chant.

Mrs. Cal Kanaly - Director of Guidance and College Counseling
Mrs. Cal Kanaly was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and moved to Atlanta in 1978. She attended Christ the King elementary school, and Marist and Woodward Academy high school. Mrs. Kanaly is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Georgia State University, where she received a B.A. Degree in Psychology and an M.S. Degree in Professional Counseling, respectively. She is a Licensed and a Nationally Certified Counselor, as well as a certified teacher for the STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) and FOCUS (From Organized Coaching Comes Ultimate Success) programs. Mrs. Kanaly has served as a counselor in a variety of employment settings, including a residential environment at Laurel Heights Hospital and clinical settings, such as Peachford Behavioral Health Systems. In these settings she directly counseled adolescents and their families on a one-on-one basis, as well as in-group sessions, to address grief and loss issues, learning, emotional and behavioral disorders. She also provided crisis counseling and psychological assessments to individuals and families facing severe situations. Mrs. Kanaly has also worked with the Georgia State University Counseling Center, where she counseled students on course selection and ways to improve academic success. Mrs. Kanaly's most recently published work is an article entitled What Dreams May Come: An Existential Journey with Hieronymous Bosch, which appears in the January 2003 edition of the journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy. Mrs. Kanaly joined Holy Spirit Preparatory School in 2000 providing counseling to students ranging from Kindergarten age through high school age, as well as to the HSP families. In that capacity, she worked closely with the faculty regarding learning, emotional and behavioral concerns evident in the classroom. She implemented and coordinated the school's Standardized Testing Programs, the Student Support Team meetings with parents and teachers, the classroom guidance program, and the Ambassador and Buddy programs. In 2004, Mrs. Kanaly also joined the Holy Spirit Preparatory high school faculty and staff as the Guidance and College Counselor. In this role, Mrs. Kanaly continues to perform many of the same tasks that she historically has performed at Holy Spirit Prep, while complementing these responsibilities with supervision of the college counseling, admissions, and placement process. Mrs. Kanaly and her husband Mark have two children at Holy Spirit Prep, a son in the Class of 2021 and a daughter in the Class of 2022.

 

Mrs. Angela Krupczak- Upper School Student Success Director 
Mrs. Krupczak was born in Wisconsin and lived there until her family transferred to Marietta, Georgia in 1986. She returned to Milwaukee, WI to attend Marquette University where she received her B.A. with a double major in Psychology and the History of Philosophy. Mrs. Krupczak continued on at Marquette and received her M.A. in Community Counseling in August of 2001. While attending Marquette University, she was very active in the residence life program and various volunteer and service organizations. Mrs. Krupczak has a wide variety of experiences in the counseling field including working in a college counseling center, teaching parenting skills, and facilitating individual and group therapy with adolescents. Prior to joining Holy Spirit Prep, Mrs. Krupczak counseled high school students to assist them with a wide range of social and emotional challenges as well as motivation, time-management, and organization skills. Mrs. Krupczak is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and maintains membership with the American Counseling Association. Along with her current duties at the Upper School, Mrs. Krupczak will be assisting with guidance and student support at the Lower School. Mrs. Krupczak and her husband, Dave, are members of Holy Spirit Parish and currently reside in Smyrna.

Mrs. Helen Prieto - Dean of Faculty/Director of Human Resources
Mrs. Prieto holds a BS in Business Administration from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida; and MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Sunrise, Florida; and a Master's Certificate in International Business from Columbia University, New York City. She and her husband moved to Atlanta from Florida in 1995 and are parishioners at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Prior to joining Holy Spirit Prep in 2002, Mrs. Prieto retired from a 38-year career with BellSouth, where she served as Vice President in International Markets and Vice President of Customer Operations. Mrs. Prieto taught Spanish at Holy Spirit for five years at the Upper school and served as Department Chair until the 2008 School year. She has been certified by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, and has a Certificate from the College Board to teach Advanced Placement Spanish. In 2008 Mrs. Prieto assumed her present position as Dean of Faculty and Director of Human Resources for all three campuses of Holy Spirit.
