Why the Lower School?

One family explains why they chose the Lower School at HSP.

A Catholic Foundation

The Lower School at Holy Spirit Prep serves students in grades Kindergarten through 6 with an authentically Catholic education. Building on the strong foundation laid by the Preschool, we provide a nurturing environment in which students continue to grow in their relationship with Christ and develop the 21st century learning and innovation skills needed for success at the Upper School and beyond.

Personalized Learning Portfolios

With a focus on formation of the whole child and our personalized approach to learning, the Lower School fosters curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a spirit of collaboration in all its students. Through Personalized Learning Portfolios, faculty members set objectives tailored to the needs of each individual Lower School student in every subject area. These goals are not only academic in nature, but also focus on the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of every child. Our most important goal is ensuring that all of the children at the Lower School know they are loved by God and are created in His image and likeness.

Forming Servant Leaders

At the Lower School, all students are encouraged to seek truth and knowledge, share their discoveries with those around them, and use their gifts and talents to serve others. Whether it be diligently studying mathematics or reading to a “buddy” in a younger grade, our students are constantly developing those gifts and talents so that they are prepared to act as servant leaders in a global community and glorify God through their lives. I invite you to visit us at the Lower School and witness our students living out our school motto of service every day.

Yours in service,
